According to a certain cosmological theory, Saturn was once a free floating, brown dwarf star. It was once Earth's sun. Saturn reflected its dark light inwards to produce a uniform dim purple glow on Earth. It had an egg-like sheath or cocoon which spread out and enveloped the Earth. Reptiles find this ultra violet light to their liking, as do most species of insect which see best in this spectrum of light. Saturn is associated with tyranny, law, harvest and death.
