The New Testament is written to portray Jesus as the fulfillment of prophecy. Everything Paul learned about Jesus was from the scriptures, not from the disciples or Jesus himself! The writers put words in Jesus' mouth where he validates Moses and other Jewish prophets. In the Gospel, did the Romans randomly just decide to play dice and auction off Jesus' clothes, not knowing it was 'prophecy'? Or is it more likely that Jews wrote the whole script? Jesus and Christianity are part 2 of the series written by Jews. What's more likely: a superhuman Jesus walked the earth and did magic, or Jews who knew the scriptures created the Jesus figure as a fulfillment of them?
